FILMS SCREENING

2025-2026 SEASON

The 2025-26 season of the Bridport Film Society features 12 films from around the globe, reflecting members' continued interest in high-quality, non-mainstream fare.

The opening night film on September 30th is On Becoming a Guinea Fowl, a hauntingly beautiful film which unravels the chilling cost of silence, the weight of tradition, and the ways women too often protect the men who hurt them.

As ever there are some outstanding films that, for different reasons, we have been unable to include in this year's programme.  We would especially commend Red Pathdifficult to watch but remarkable, The Seed of the Sacred Fig and  Soundtrack to a Coup D’Etat. Follow the links to learn more about them.

To research our films we recommend IMDB for cast lists, production details and further background, and Rotten Tomatoes for critical reviews and comment.
