A Swedish TV presenter’s well-ordered life unravels when she confronts her domineering husband about an accusation against him. Her subsequent flight precipitates a chain of lies and paranoia. Unmoored is beautifully written, with the suspense building slowly and almost imperceptibly tightening, until you suddenly realise you've been holding your breath and on the edge of your seat. Set against a stunning backdrop, the score elevates the film, skilfully taking you on a journey that remains long after the film has finished.
The film premiered at BFI London Film Festival with sold out screenings, and was selected for numerous festivals including Tallinn, Gothenburg, and Santa Barbara. The Swedish-British nordic slow burn won Best Feature Debut at the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck and sold out all its four screenings.
