2009-10 is the Bridport Film Society's 45th season featuring 14 new films from around the globe and two classic films.

Special highlights for 2009-10 are:

• opening night film Tokyo Sonata, the fable of a Japanese family held captive by globalisation
• the extraordinary memory trip Waltz with Bashir
  
• reality-questioning investigation of the male condition in Charlie Kaufman's Synecdoche, New York
• charming cultural comedy The Band's Visit
• a rare outing from one of Britain's best contemporary filmmakers: Of Time and the City
• odd Nordic humour from O' Horten
• the latest work, Syndromes and a Century, by one of world cinema's new rising stars: Apichatpong Weerasethakul
• A Man Escaped, the classic masterpiece chosen by retired chairman Clare Glazebrook
